According to incomplete statistics, about 30% of building fires are directly caused by the combustion of timber, wood products, and flammable decorative materials. Especially in high-rise building fires, rescue efforts are extremely difficult. In such cases, the fire resistance, non-combustibility, and smoke toxicity of building materials are crucial factors in giving trapped individuals time to escape.
On September 25, 2020, a fire broke out at Huawei's Songshan Lake experimental base.
In response to the national dual-carbon strategy and to overcome industry challenges, the "seven-star" inorganic board, the Yuanjing board, was born. It uses inorganic mineral tailings and natural wood pulp fiber as its main materials. The finished product achieves seven star standards: A1 fire resistance, lightweight and high strength, water resistance and deformation resistance, asbestos-free, formaldehyde-free, smoke-free and toxic, and insect-proof and antibacterial.
