Home Decoration for a Family of Five: Worry-Free and Hassle-Free Home Decor

2025-11-04

Living under the same roof with parents and children is a wonderful scenario, but limited indoor space often prevents this simple wish from being fulfilled. The Da Wang Ye Xing Hui Space design case demonstrates how to make the most of limited space to create a worry-free standard home decor for a family of five.

Living Room x With You

To cater to both the elderly and children, the living room is divided into a relaxation area and a functional area. The sofa and TV cabinet area creates a play area for children. The built-in bookcase behind the sofa can store books and decorative items, transforming the living room into a mobile study for the elderly.

A small balcony is built near the window in the living room, which can be used for planting or afternoon tea, meeting the diverse needs of a large family. This shared living room space caters to the needs of three generations, allowing family members to study or relax together.

Restaurant x Eyes on You

The dining area is seamlessly connected to the living room, allowing you to keep an eye on children playing or elderly people moving around while you eat, ensuring that you are always in their sight and bringing the family closer together.

The dining table, arranged lengthwise with brown leather chairs, creates a fresh and sophisticated dining environment under the glow of the crystal chandelier. A light-colored sideboard maximizes storage for various tableware, while an open bar in the center provides easy access to frequently used items.

Master bedroom x integrated for peace of mind

To improve the living experience, a portion of the master bedroom, which is the core of the house, was partitioned off to create a bathroom, providing a separate bathing space and enhancing the homeowner's quality of life.

Built-in wardrobes save space and make the room look clean and uncluttered. Creating a unified space also helps to stagger the bathroom usage times for the whole family.

Second bedroom x Protect you

The children's room is small but has many functional requirements. A wall-mounted desk and connected shelving maximize space utilization. The shelving, integrated with the wardrobe, can be used for hanging clothes and also serves as a simple bookcase – a two-in-one solution.

Balancing safety and practicality, the elderly person's room features multi-angle pendant lights to ensure comprehensive illumination. The glossy UV-coated full-wall cabinet doors are easy to clean and maintain, while also providing ample storage.
