Through experimental research, the effects of impregnated paper burst strength, uniformity of the interface material of the balance layer, substrate moisture content, and substrate structure stability on the surface crack resistance of the eco-board were analyzed.
Eco-board, a common name for impregnated paper-faced plywood and blockboard, is a new type of interior decoration and furniture board. After nearly 10 years of development, the quality of eco-board has steadily improved, and the product series has also developed well. However, before the implementation of national standards for eco-board products, some performance indicators lacked a basis for market supervision, especially the surface crack resistance performance. Eco-board generally consists of three parts: a substrate layer, a balancing layer, and a surface decorative paper layer. Surface crack resistance refers to the ability of the product surface to remain free of micro-cracks under the influence of moisture and heat, and is used to measure the eco-board's adaptability to rapid changes in temperature and humidity. This article analyzes the main factors affecting the surface crack resistance performance of eco-board from a material perspective.

Under the premise of the same substrate and balance layer, the bursting strength of the impregnated paper affects the surface crack resistance of the ecological board to a certain extent. The higher the bursting strength, the higher the crack resistance level.
The uniformity of the material of the balancing layer between the substrate and the impregnated paper has a significant impact on the surface crack resistance of the eco-board. The more uniform the material of the balancing layer, the higher its crack resistance level, while the more obvious the anisotropy, the lower its crack resistance level.
The structure of the substrate affects the surface crack resistance of the eco-board to a certain extent. The more stable the structure of the substrate, the higher the surface crack resistance of the finished product.
The moisture content of the substrate affects the surface crack resistance of the eco-board to a certain extent. The higher the moisture content of the substrate, the worse the surface crack resistance of the eco-board.
Based on the data from this experiment, and with the aim of continuously improving the surface crack resistance of the eco-board and eliminating the limitations of its regional use, we can comprehensively assess the controllability and cost of influencing factors. We can effectively control aspects such as the burst strength of the surface impregnated paper, the material uniformity of the balance layer, the structural stability of the substrate, and the moisture content of the substrate, and formulate feasible production processes and standards to produce high-quality eco-boards.
