I remember when I was little, we didn't have our own rooms, so whenever we bought a refrigerator or washing machine, the extra cardboard boxes would become our rooms, which was incredibly fun. As I grew older, I had my own room, and because I was a fan of certain celebrities, the walls were covered with their posters, and the table was filled with origami cranes, wishing bottles, my favorite books, MP4 players, and so on. A teenager's room is always full of youthful energy. For the first few years of my career, I mostly rented, so the rooms weren't very big, just enough for my basic needs. After working for a few years, I had some savings and started preparing to buy a house. Finally, I had my own place, and I had to plan it carefully. Looking back on our growth, we're actually quite familiar with house planning, especially when it comes to bedroom spaces. Actually, when it comes to decorating, don't take it too seriously. After completing the basic structural work, you can start decorating based on your own needs.
If you love greenery, you can turn your balcony into your own botanical garden; if you enjoy reading, the living room doesn't necessarily need a TV-a full-wall bookcase is a great alternative, or you can dedicate a room as a study where you can study together with your children later, making education more effective through example; if you love fashion, build more wardrobes and shoe cabinets, with hanging wardrobes and shoe cabinets divided according to shoe length and height-one cabinet can hold hundreds of pairs of shoes; if you love cooking, build a cabinet that stores all kinds of seasonings and makes them easily visible, and arrange some high-tech kitchen appliances to experience the joy of cooking. If you enjoy sports, painting, and so on, you can arrange these according to your own interests. Your interests in your home should, of course, be based on your own preferences, making every time you come home feel like you're in love.
One crucial point to remember during renovation is to ensure the hard furnishings are done well. For concealed projects like plumbing and electrical wiring, materials must be purchased from reputable stores. Similarly, for carpentry, the choice of materials-boards, adhesives, and paint-must be environmentally friendly and also sourced from reputable stores. In my previous renovation, I chose Tu Baobao brand boards, but later, when we ran out, we bought a few extra from a nearby store. The quality of the boards was immediately apparent from the cross-sections of the leftovers; they were either hollow or made of bark, and the environmental friendliness wasn't clearly stated. Returning them was difficult at that point, so it's better to choose carefully from the beginning to avoid future regrets. The hard furnishings have been broken down into steps for your reference.
