Is it difficult to make a wardrobe? How do you judge the quality of wardrobe materials?

Customized wardrobes are now very common. The most crucial element in wardrobe manufacturing is the material itself, as its quality determines the overall quality of the wardrobe. Let's learn more about wardrobe materials together.

1. Common types of wardrobe panels

(1) Plywood

Wood is cut into veneers or thin boards and glued together, such as three-ply or nine-ply plywood. The glued bond has low strength and is prone to problems such as localized delamination and warping.

(2) MDF

MDF is typically 1.2 or 1.5 cm thick and comes in single-sided and double-sided varieties.

(3) Painted sheet

Based on MDF (medium-density fiberboard), it is baked at high temperatures, resulting in vibrant colors, easy molding, and a strong visual impact. It also boasts good water resistance, is easy to clean, and has strong stain resistance. However, it requires sophisticated manufacturing processes, is relatively expensive, and is difficult to repair if damaged.

(4) Fireproof boards

Fireproof boards are a commonly used door panel material at present. They come in bright colors, have a variety of styles, are wear-resistant and scratch-resistant, have diverse shapes, and are not easy to fade.

(5) Solid wood boards

Solid wood panels are typically cherry or oak in color, featuring a classic style, and are relatively expensive. They are beautifully designed and have excellent visual appeal.

2. How to judge the quality of wardrobe materials

(1) Look

Examine the cut surface of the board and select boards that are uniformly dense, relatively heavy, strong under pressure, and durable. If the cut surface is not tight or even shows small holes, then this type of board has lower load-bearing capacity and is not durable.

(2) Hear

To check if the boards are environmentally friendly, the formaldehyde content must be at least 9mg/100g to be considered up to standard, which is harmless to the human body. A very simple way to test this is to open the wardrobe doors and drawers and smell the odor. If there is a pungent smell, it means the formaldehyde level is too high. If you are still concerned, you can also check the seller's certificate of conformity.

The above information is about wardrobe materials and we hope it will be helpful when you choose wardrobe materials.
