Paper-faced gypsum board:

Paper-faced gypsum board is a lightweight board material made with gypsum slurry as the core and paper as the facing on both sides. It is lightweight, high-strength, fire-resistant, insect-resistant, and easy to process. Ordinary paper-faced gypsum board is used for interior walls, partitions, and ceilings. Water-resistant paper-faced gypsum board, after fire-retardant treatment, can be used for walls in rooms with high humidity, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and shower rooms, as a backing for walls covered with tiles, metal panels, or plastic tiles.

Product performance:

Ordinary paper-faced gypsum board (code P) has an ivory-white face paper on the front and a gray back paper on the back.

Moisture-resistant paper-faced gypsum board (code S) has easily identifiable green face paper and back paper.

Fire-resistant paper-faced gypsum board (code H) has a pink face paper on the bottom and a gray back paper on the back.

Application scope:

I. Visual inspection

1. High-quality gypsum board: smooth surface, without obvious pores, cracks, missing corners, etc.; low-quality gypsum board: rough surface, with obvious stains.

2. High-quality gypsum board: strong adhesion between upper and lower layers; low-quality gypsum board: poor adhesion of the facing paper.

2. Tap with your hand

High-quality gypsum board: produces a crisp sound when tapped; low-quality gypsum board: produces a dull sound when tapped.

III. Dimensional tolerances, flatness, and right angle deviation

High-quality gypsum board: small dimensional deviation, good flatness, and accurate thickness; low-quality gypsum board: large dimensional deviation, inaccurate flatness and thickness.
