First, observe whether the surface of the board is flat and smooth, without any flaws, and whether the density of the cut wood is fine, uniform, and delicate. Good boards should have grain patterns arranged in a certain regularity, with similar wood colors.

The adhesive layer structure between the layers of the board should also be observed to see if there is any glue separation. More attention should be paid to whether there are bulges or delamination between the veneer on the surface of the board and the substrate, and between the individual layers inside the substrate.

Most importantly, check whether the manufacturer's name, address, grade, specifications, and other markings on the packaging are clear, complete, and comply with relevant national standards.

Feel the board itself to see if it's smooth and how heavy it is. Good boards have a smooth, flat surface without obvious burrs or planing marks.

The smell of environmentally friendly boards is noticeably different from that of non-environmentally friendly boards; the smell of non-environmentally friendly furniture is particularly unpleasant and pungent.
