When asked about their renovation needs or the kind of home they envision, many people say, "I haven't thought about it," or "Can you give me some suggestions?" It's not that we can't give suggestions, but accurately catering to their preferences is a bit difficult because everyone is unique, and a home that reflects one's personality is best. Therefore, today we'll start with general, basic renovation needs to help everyone truly understand their own requirements.
1. Number of residents
First and foremost, it's crucial to determine the number of occupants. For a single person living alone, the decor can be more casual, similar to a studio apartment. Newlyweds should discuss and choose a decorating style that they both find acceptable, and of course, they should also consider the arrival of a new life, so they need at least two bedrooms. For a three-generation family living together, there should be at least three bedrooms and ideally two bathrooms, otherwise, there will be many awkward situations and conflicts in daily life.
2. Personality traits
Based on your own personality traits, those who prefer a quiet and comfortable decorating style can focus on comfort, while those who enjoy a lively and hospitable atmosphere can put more thought into the design of their living room and dining room. Similarly, those whose professions often require working from home can have a dedicated workspace; those with specific lifestyle habits and hobbies, such as a passion for cooking, can have more creative ideas for their kitchen design. I once saw a blogger who loves collecting kitchen utensils; his kitchen had dedicated tall cabinets for storing them. Many homes have tall cabinets with built-in ovens, but his were simply used to store cookware. Even so, the space in his tall cabinets still seemed a bit cramped, so his cookware sometimes ended up on his bookshelves, but he liked this casual approach. 3. Decoration style

Home renovations can easily exceed the budget, so you can set aside 20% of your original budget as a "renovation contingency fund." For example, if the total budget is 300,000 yuan, you should set aside 60,000 yuan as a contingency fund, and only use 240,000 yuan for renovations.
5. Storage requirements
Which spaces to build cabinets in, and how much storage space you need? This can be determined based on your own needs. Common types include entryway shoe cabinets, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, TV cabinets, sideboards, and balcony cabinets.
6. Pet Space
If you have pets at home, you need to arrange a dedicated space for them. If you have a cat, you need to consider adding a cat tree. Their activity space and rest space need to be planned well so that they can live together more harmoniously.
