Many people are completely unaware of the progress of the construction site or what main materials need to be purchased when renovating their houses, which leads to delays in the construction period and constant urging to get things done. It's a very busy time.
Now, let me explain the order in which the main materials should be brought in, so you'll have a general idea and won't be caught off guard.
Cabinet customization and installation time:
When construction begins, the site is surveyed and initial drawings are produced for plumbing and electrical work. At this stage, the main task is to determine the locations of the plumbing and electrical systems.
After the tiles are laid, the cabinet drawings need to be remeasured and the contract signed before production begins. The construction period is 25-30 days. If solid wood door panels are chosen, the time will be longer. Installation will take place after the ceiling is finished. Remember to bring the range hood, stove, and sink to the site during installation.
Kitchen cabinets: These can be installed after the ceiling is installed. Kitchen appliances and essentials that need to be present at the same time include: range hood, stove, disinfection cabinet, sink, etc.
Gas stoves, range hoods, sinks, and built-in disinfection cabinets require the opening dimensions to be provided before the cabinets are made.
Location and installation time of sanitary ware:
Measurements are needed to determine the size and location of the installation. This applies to squat toilets, bathtubs, and shower rooms, and will be brought in during tiling.
Bathroom vanity:
Shower head accessories will be delivered after the wall tiles are installed. If there are any special main materials, such as bidets or smart toilets, please inform us in advance so that sockets can be reserved. For power-driven toilets or faucets, please bring them to the site.
Measurement and installation time for doors and windows:
After the masons arrive and level the ground, the dimensions of the doorways and windows will be determined.
The production time for kitchen and bathroom doors is 10-15 days (when the mason is laying tiles, the space for one tile should be reserved, and after the kitchen and bathroom doors are installed, the tiles near the door opening should be laid to finish the edge).
The production time for bedroom wooden doors is 30-40 days. The doors will be installed after two coats of putty have been applied to the walls.
The production time for ordinary glass windows is 5-7 working days, and for tempered glass it is 12-15 working days. Tiling can be done after installation.
Tile selection and installation time: Tile selection can begin after the style is finalized with the designer. After the tile setter levels the floor, the tiles will be laid, typically requiring grouting. A floor drain also needs to be prepared. If there is a shower enclosure or shower room, the shower stone should be brought to the site and installed by the tile setter.
Stone measurement and delivery time:
When the floor tiles arrive, measure the size of the threshold stone. At the same time, measure the size of the windowsill and deliver it together with the threshold stone to save on shipping costs. Light-colored stone requires white cement.
Installation time and precautions for kitchen and bathroom ceilings:
After the tiles are laid, the kitchen and bathroom ceilings can be installed. At the same time, the range hood, flue, bathroom heater, lighting, and ventilation systems should be brought to the site for drilling. Note that during the initial wiring installation, if the bathroom has a built-in heater, 7 wires (6 sets) need to be pre-installed; otherwise, 4 wires (3 sets) are required.
Measurement and installation of bathroom partitions:
After the tiles are laid, measure the dimensions. The construction period is 15 days, which will be postponed due to high temperatures. The bathroom partition will be installed after the ceiling is installed.
Time required for painting walls:
After applying the putty, apply the primer and topcoat. Generally, one coat of primer and two coats of topcoat are needed. If the walls require a color, choose the color in advance.
wallpaper:
After the putty is applied, the topcoat and topcoat are painted, and the base coat is applied to the wall, you can apply wallpaper 3-7 days later.
It should be noted that if you want to use wallpaper, you need to choose it 15-25 days in advance. Most wallpapers are shipped directly from the factory, so you need to allow sufficient time for logistics.
Liquid wallpaper, diatomaceous earth, or seashell paint:
You can apply putty + base coat + decorative pattern; or base coat + decorative pattern; or just decorative pattern.
Furniture measurement and installation:
After the walls and floors are leveled, measurements can be taken. Custom-made orders take 25-45 days. We can make wardrobes, bookcases, shoe cabinets, TV cabinets, computer desks, beds, etc.
Switch installation and precautions:
Installation will take place after the wall paint is applied. Each switch or socket is individually packaged, so each one will be turned on after installation. Any discrepancies can be resolved with returns or exchanges provided it does not affect resale.
Lighting installation:
Install after the topcoat is finished.
Clothes rack installation:
It is generally recommended to install it before moving in, as automatic shelves only have a one-year warranty.
If there is a suspended ceiling, the height of the suspended ceiling should not exceed 30mm.
If a fixed clothes rod is to be installed, it needs to be prepared on-site during the ceiling installation process, and the installer will install it together with the ceiling installation.
Hardware installation:
Take the pull-out basket cabinets to the site before installation; take the lock set to the site before door installation; take the hinges and handles to the site before furniture installation.
Electrical appliance installation:
Kitchen appliances and cabinets should be brought to the site before installation; air conditioners should be delivered to the site after the renovation is completed.
Measurement and installation of invisible screens and safety nets:
Measurements can be taken after the tiles are laid and before the curtains are installed; the construction period is 5-7 days.
Activated carbon:
Place inside cabinets or wardrobes. It can be reused after being exposed to direct sunlight.
