[Abstract] This invention discloses a microwave vacuum drying method for round bamboo, comprising the following steps: (1) sample collection; (2) sample processing; (3) sample sorting; (4) preparation stage; (5) vacuuming, maintaining a vacuum level of #0.6~#0.9MPa; (6) heating stage: starting the microwave system to heat the sample in the cavity at a heating rate of 1~5℃/min, heating to 80~90℃; (7) heat preservation stage: maintaining a constant temperature and vacuum level in the microwave cavity for 1~3 hours; (8) cooling stage; (9) vacuum reduction stage. The method of this invention can reach the boiling point of water at a lower temperature, avoiding the phenomenon of scorching due to excessively high temperatures in conventional drying. It saves energy and prevents cracking and warping. Compared with traditional kiln drying and air drying methods, the method of this invention has virtually no color change before and after drying, and no carbonization occurs. Furthermore, the drying time is shortened to several hours, and the sample size stability is high.

[Claim] A microwave vacuum drying method for round bamboo, the method comprising the following steps: (1) Sample collection: Select 6-year-old round bamboo raw material of No. 4 according to product needs, free from diseases and pests, saw from the base, and remove branches, leaves and tips; (2) Sample processing: Cut the collected round bamboo into bamboo segments of about 1 meter according to later needs, and preserve them in a natural state; (3) Sample sorting: Sort the samples obtained in step (2) according to length and diameter, and place them on a shelf for storage; (4) Preparation stage: Place the sorted samples on the drying rack, arrange them in layers, maintain an appropriate and adjustable spacing between layers, push the drying rack into the drying chamber, and close the chamber door; (5) Vacuuming: Start the vacuum process. (6) Heating stage: Start the microwave system to heat the sample in the cavity at a rate of 1-5℃/min until it reaches 80-90℃; (7) Heat preservation stage: Maintain the temperature and vacuum in the microwave cavity at a constant level for 1-3 hours; (8) Cooling stage: Turn off the microwave system, keep the vacuum in the microwave cavity constant, and start the air cooling system to slowly cool the sample; (9) Vacuum reduction stage: After the temperature in the microwave cavity drops to room temperature, turn off the vacuum pump, open the air inlet valve, and open the cavity door when it reaches normal pressure. Drying is complete.
