What is preservative-treated wood?

Preservative-treated wood can be divided into natural preservative-treated wood and artificial preservative-treated wood. Natural preservative-treated wood refers to wood whose core material has a natural corrosion resistance of level 2 or above. Artificial preservative-treated wood is ordinary wood that has been artificially treated with chemical preservatives to give it properties such as corrosion resistance, moisture resistance, fungal resistance, insect resistance, mildew resistance, and water resistance. It can be in direct contact with soil and humid environments.

1. Use environmentally friendly CA reagents

Copper azole (CuAz) wood preservative is an environmentally friendly product developed by the Wood Industry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry, with independent intellectual property rights (patent number: CN 2003 10124153.9). It exhibits good resistance to leaching, preservation, and termite control. The formulation contains no Cr/As and is harmless to the environment. Field trials conducted under typical subtropical climate conditions in China have shown that, at a reasonable dosage, its preservation and termite control effects are comparable to CCA. Its technical indicators comply with the national industry standard LY/T1635-2005 "Wood Preservatives" and preservative standards in the United States and Australia.

2. Full penetration of preservatives

3. Secondary drying

To ensure the moisture content of the preservative-treated wood reaches 10%-20%, secondary drying is a necessary step.
