Product Performance Description
Continuous veneer – engineered wood edge banding is mainly made of engineered wood slices, cut according to different widths and thicknesses, and is generally packaged and supplied in rolls.
Engineered wood edge banding is primarily made of 0.6mm thick engineered wood veneers laminated with imported non-woven fabric. The lamination process uses a combination of hot melt adhesive and PVAC adhesive, which contains no harmful ingredients and is therefore harmless to health and the environment. The formaldehyde content of Weide Group's engineered wood edge banding has been tested by a national authoritative institution and found to be ≤1.5mg/L.
The processing utilizes an asymmetrical finger-jointing technique, employing a complete set of imported European equipment and advanced technology combined with high-quality engineered wood veneers, making the finger joints difficult to detect. The primer or topcoat used in the subsequent painting stage will not highlight the finger joints. This is a key characteristic of the engineered wood edge banding produced by the VIDE Group.
The use of PVAC adhesive and hot melt adhesive results in edge banding with better toughness. It boasts a high surface quality and is easier to apply than solid wood edge banding. Solid wood edge banding cannot be rolled up for supply, its quality is inconsistent, and its use is complex. Processing engineered wood edge banding is significantly faster than solid wood edge banding. It can handle 0.6mm thick rolls of reinforced engineered wood edge banding. Color variation is maintained in the production plant through a quality expansion process, ensuring that each batch closely replicates or is as close as possible to the standard sample.
Product Storage and Management
Since engineered wood edge banding is also a type of wood, its storage method should be the same as that of regular wood products, such as finished boards, lumber, and solid wood doors. Attention should be paid to preventing moisture and mold growth in the storage area.
Currently available tree species – multiple tree species available
EV Mapl, EV Aninge, EV White Oak, EV Ash, EV Chree, EV Mahogany, EV Walnut, EV Elm, EV Teak, etc. Other tree species can also be supplied upon special request.
Product Specifications
Engineered wood edge banding is typically supplied in rolls with a thickness of 0.4-0.9 mm and a length of 120 m. The width ranges from 100-200 mm.
Product Features and Benefits
1. Quick and convenient deep processing, easy construction, and arbitrary cutting;
2. High-quality logs ensure the quality and color of the slices to a certain extent;
3. Because it is glued together during processing, the effect is good even under a lot of straight-line planing, and high-speed feeding is possible;
4. Since the surface has already been sanded, the operator only needs to perform fine sanding on the edge banding machine. In addition, the paint applied later improves the surface quality.
5. Reduces floor space: Since all types of edge banding tape of various lengths can be directly sourced from a single roll, there is no need for excessive inventory.
6. No production disruptions or interruptions, ensuring stable and reliable quality;
7. The product is soft, close to nature, and resistant to bending, so it will not dent, bend, or spiral.
8. Material utilization rate is as high as 75%, which varies depending on the width and saw size;
9. Low labor costs; unlike solid wood, construction is not time-consuming or labor-intensive; simple to repair; precise positioning; and time-saving.
10. It can be widely used in the production and processing of cabinets, wooden doors, windows and doors, moldings, composite flooring, and decoration companies in furniture factories, solving problems in the construction process.
