Multi-layer boards become a new focus in customized home furnishings.
With its high stability and superior overall performance,
Standing out among many board materials
However, the quality of multilayer boards on the market varies greatly.
Many small factories produce plywood with significant quality problems, mainly including the following: delamination, peeling, poor flatness, deformation, and excessive formaldehyde levels. These problems are often the result of a combination of factors, the common causes of which are as follows:
Single board quality
In the production of multi-layer boards, if veneers with uneven thickness, blue staining, mildew, or many holes are selected, it will directly lead to uneven glue application, which in turn increases the risk of delamination and bubbling of the core board.
To this end, Fuqing started with raw materials, implemented meticulous grade management, resolutely eliminated all veneers with uneven thickness, and prohibited the use of veneers with blue stain, mildew or many holes. It insisted on using high-quality veneers to ensure the production of multi-layer board products of excellent quality.
glue quality
As a core raw material in the manufacturing process of multi-layer boards, the quality of adhesive directly affects the bonding strength and environmental performance of the boards. Boards made with inferior adhesives not only fail to meet standard bonding strength requirements, but may also contain high concentrations of harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, posing a potential threat to health.
To meet environmental protection requirements, Fuqing actively sought technological innovation and introduced internationally advanced experimental equipment. It also established in-depth collaborations with a leading research institute and three renowned universities. Leveraging the professional strengths and talent resources of all parties, and after countless experiments and meticulous adjustments, they jointly developed an ENF-grade fiber-modified resin adhesive. This adhesive has achieved industry-leading levels in both bonding performance and environmental standards.
Moisture content
Although the internal materials and appearance of multi-layer boards have become relatively stable after undergoing multiple processes of meticulous manufacturing, fluctuations in moisture content can still cause problems such as board deformation and cracking.
To address this issue, Fuqing employs a breathing drying technology, involving full oblique grinding and drying of the veneer to achieve a moisture content of 8% to 12%, which is the average moisture content of its environment. This achieves a harmonious coexistence between the board and the relative humidity of the atmosphere, preventing the board from actively absorbing external moisture or releasing excess moisture.
In this state, the structure and performance of the multilayer board can reach the most stable state, effectively solving quality problems such as water absorption and swelling, delamination and deformation that may be caused by changes in moisture content, thus ensuring the long-term maintenance of the flatness and excellent performance of the multilayer board.
