A comprehensive explanation of the performance of the "Six-Dimensional Antibacterial Graphene Eco-Panel" - removing formaldehyde and TVOC for better health (Part 2)

August-26th-2025

When renovating a new house, everyone knows that formaldehyde must be removed, but is the odor after renovation necessarily formaldehyde? In fact, formaldehyde and TVOC are both important sources of indoor air pollution.

Formaldehyde is a colorless gas with a pungent odor, which mainly comes from decoration materials such as adhesives and paints. It has a serious impact on human health. Spaces with excessive formaldehyde can cause dry eyes, tears, dry throat, coughs, etc., and can even threaten life and cause cancer.

TVOC stands for "Total Volatile Organic Compounds." It originates from a wide range of sources, including household paints, varnishes, adhesives, furniture, carpets, and wallpaper. TVOCs are also toxic, irritating, and carcinogenic to humans, affecting the central nervous system, digestive system, and, in severe cases, the liver and hematopoietic system.

01. About formaldehyde and TVOC

Six-dimensional antibacterial graphene ecological board

When it comes to formaldehyde and TVOC issues, prevention is more important than post-processing. The best approach is to prioritize material quality from the very beginning. Recognizing this need, Qiannianzhou has further upgraded its "Zinc-Effect Antibacterial Graphene Eco-Panel" product, launching the "Six-Dimensional Antibacterial Graphene Eco-Panel." This expands its "dual resistance and one prevention" functionality with the addition of "formaldehyde removal and TVOC removal." By implementing scientific and effective measures, indoor formaldehyde and TVOC concentrations can be reduced, creating a healthy and comfortable living environment.

02. About One Cleansing and One Removal

One net: Formaldehyde purification efficiency ≥80%

During the paper impregnation process, a specialized formaldehyde-removing material is added. This highly reactive material, containing a high concentration of amino groups, reacts with formaldehyde at the C-6 position, making it difficult for the adsorbed formaldehyde molecules to be released. The amino groups adsorb, and the zinc-based catalyst reacts with H₂O and CO₂ in the air, generating electron holes and reactive oxygen species. This decomposes the adsorbed formaldehyde into H₂O and CO₂, completely eliminating the secondary pollution caused by saturated adsorption materials. The 24-hour formaldehyde removal efficiency is ≥80%, far exceeding the industry standard JC/T 2761-2023, which requires a purification efficiency of ≥55%.

Secondary removal: TVOC removal rate ≥ 60%

A specialized TVOC removal material is added during the paper impregnation process. This highly reactive material, containing a high concentration of amino groups, reacts with TVOC at the C-8 position, making it difficult for the adsorbed VOC molecules to be released. Under ambient light and room temperature, this zinc-based catalyst reacts with oxygen and water in the air, generating electron holes and reactive oxygen species that oxidize bound VOCs into their corresponding organic acids. This significantly increases the adsorption capacity for harmful substances and completely eliminates the problem of secondary pollution caused by saturated adsorption materials. According to QB/T 2761-2006 testing, the 24-hour TVOC removal rate is ≥60%.

Qiannianzhou is constantly exploring graphene technology, committed to driving industry innovation through scientific and technological advancements. The comprehensive upgrade and launch of the six-dimensional antibacterial graphene eco-board is another important achievement in this field, providing stronger protection for a healthy home environment.
