1. Differences in flaking morphology

The most fundamental difference between core-stranded board and ordinary particleboard lies in the shape of the chips used to make the boards. The chips used to make core-stranded board require a large aspect ratio, resulting in thin, long, and large flakes, with their length aligned with the wood fiber. The chips used to make core-stranded board are generally larger in aspect ratio and slightly thicker than those used in ordinary particleboard.

2. Differences in production process

During the transport of the shavings, Shunxin Board uses transportation methods that cause minimal damage to the shavings, such as belt conveyors and scraper conveyors, and avoids using pneumatic conveyors, screw conveyors, and other transportation methods that can cause significant damage to the shavings. Shunxin Board's installation method is also significantly different from that of ordinary particleboard. Shunxin Board is constructed by laying four layers of shavings in a crisscross pattern, with the surface and core layers regularly proportioned, and three layers in a directional pattern. These layers are then refined on a 12-foot-wide continuous press line from Grenzebach in Germany. The board is seamless and uniform, with no gaps or voids throughout. Ordinary particleboard, on the other hand, does not require directional laying and only requires flat pressing. This makes Shunxin Board relatively stronger and more stable.
