Introduction
This paper mainly introduces the technical requirements and production process of particleboard for solid wood composite doors, its application in wooden door production and analysis of common quality problems.
Shandong Heze Maosheng Wood Industry Co., Ltd. has developed and produced particleboards specifically for the production of solid wood composite doors in response to market demand. In addition to the conventional 2 440 mm × 1 220 mm, the product specifications also include 2 135 mm × 915 mm, 2 440 mm × 915 mm and other special sizes. At the same time, in order to further meet market demand, the company has also developed flame retardant, formaldehyde-free, mildew-proof and other functional particleboards for wooden doors. In addition to meeting the domestic market, they are also exported to foreign markets such as the United States and the Philippines.
1 Technical requirements for the production of particleboard for wooden doors
1.1 Particleboard for door frame
1) Production process requirements: The wood ratio is 2:8 for mixed wood and poplar. The moisture content of the dried wood chips is (2 ± 0.5)%, the paraffin wax dosage is 0.8%, the curing agent dosage is 3%, and the total glue dosage is 100-120 kg/m³.
2) Product quality requirements: Density should be between 500 and 520 kg/m³, with a surface density of 850 to 950 kg/m³ for the finished board. Cross-sectional density should be uniform, and the ratio of minimum density to average density should be greater than 70%. The finished board should have a moisture content of (6.5 ± 1.5)%, and an internal bond strength of ≥ 0.25 MPa. Other quality requirements should comply with the performance requirements for furniture-grade particleboard used in a dry state as specified in GB/T 4897-2015 "Particleboard." Product thickness should generally be between 35 and 50 mm. After sanding, the board surface should be smooth and fine, with no exposed large particles, and the core particle structure should be homogeneous.
1.2 Particleboard for door panels
1) Production Process Requirements: The wood material is solid poplar, with a moisture content of (2±0.5)% after drying, a paraffin wax application rate of 1.0%, a curing agent application rate of 3%, and a combined sizing rate of 90-110 kg/m³. To ensure a smooth and fine product surface, the diameter of the surface fine shavings during paving is generally required to not exceed 1.2 mm, and the proportion of surface fine shavings must be no less than 35%.
2) Product quality requirements. Density should be between 650 and 700 kg/m³, with a surface density of 950 to 1,050 kg/m³ for the finished board. Cross-sectional density should be uniform, and the ratio of minimum density to average density should be greater than 80%. The finished board should have a moisture content of (6.5 + 1.5)%, and internal bond strength should be ≥ 0.35 MPa. Other quality requirements should comply with the performance requirements for furniture-grade particleboard used in a dry state as specified in GB/T 4897-2015. Product thickness should generally be between 8 and 12 mm. After sanding, the board surface should be smooth and fine, free of exposed large particles. Obvious sanding streaks and sand grain detachment marks are not permitted.
