OSB is a multi-layered, man-made structural board made from fresh, fine-grained, straight-textured pine trees. The wood is then peeled and cut into geometrically shaped flakes along the wood grain. After drying, a synthetic resin adhesive and waterproofing agent are applied to simulate the fiber orientation of natural wood. These flakes are then oriented and laid into slabs, which are then hot-pressed at high temperatures.
