Three major physical properties of the board

If the degree of environmental protection determines the safety of customized home furnishings, then the physical properties of the board determine its service life.

01. Static bending strength
When the plate is subjected to force, it will cause a certain degree of bending, which is called "static bending".
The "static bending strength" is the pressure strength that the plate can withstand when it is bent to the point of breaking. Simply put, it means "how much force can break the plate."
If the static bending strength index is low, the plate will easily deform and crack after being subjected to stress, resulting in a short service life and great safety hazards.
The minimum static bending strength of Huidian Oriented Strand Board (OSB) is 16Mpa, and the average value is as high as 20Mpa, which is far higher than the required value. It is not easy to deform under long-term load and has a long service life.
02. Thickness expansion rate after 2h water absorption
The 2h water absorption thickness expansion rate refers to the ratio of the thickness difference before and after water absorption to the thickness before immersion after immersion for 2 hours, measured by cutting a certain amount of sample and immersing it in water according to the method specified in the standard. This parameter determines the moisture-proof ability of the board.
If the board has low moisture resistance, it may cause deformation of furniture, inability of movable parts to close, and poor bearing capacity of stress-bearing parts.
If used in humid areas such as bathrooms and kitchens, the boards may even crack after a period of use.
During the manufacturing process of Huidian OSB, formaldehyde-free MDI glue that is insoluble in water is used.
At the same time, during hot pressing production, MDI glue will react chemically with the water molecules in the wood, blocking moisture from entering the wood. It has super moisture-proof properties and is very suitable for use in humid scenes such as kitchens and bathrooms.
03. Nail holding force
The nail holding force is one of the important criteria for judging whether the board is of high quality, and it can be used to check whether the board connectors are firm.
The boards with good nail holding force have strong fixing force on nails, and the nails are not easy to fall off; on the contrary, the fixing force is poor and the nails are easy to fall off.
Generally speaking, the stronger the nail holding capacity of the board, the stronger the furniture cabinet will be made of and the longer its lifespan will be.
The strength of the nail holding force depends on factors such as the wood species, density, moisture content, hardness, elasticity, grain direction, amount of glue applied, and production process of the board.
Huidian OSB has a directional structure inside, with no joints, gaps or cracks, good overall uniformity and extremely high internal bonding strength.
Therefore, both the center and the edges have super strong nail holding ability that ordinary boards cannot match. At the same time, it is easy to process and will not produce tooth protrusions, meeting the requirements of sawing, sand drilling, nail filing, etc.
