3. Careless use of fire in daily life

Careless use of fire in daily life mainly refers to the improper use of fire in the daily life of urban and rural residents, such as: improper setting of cooking utensils in the kitchen, installation that does not meet the requirements, violation of safety technical requirements in the use of stoves, etc., which may cause fires; burning incense at home is left unattended, causing incense ash to scatter and cause fires, etc.

How do we save ourselves when a fire occurs?

When a fire unfortunately occurs, we must remain calm, do not panic, and call 119 immediately to report the incident.

When escaping, remember not to take the elevator. People living on high floors should never jump directly from the window. If your body accidentally catches fire, roll over quickly to put out the fire.

When the fire spreads, wet your clothes to avoid burns; cover your mouth and nose with a wet cloth, bend your body downward, avoid toxic smoke in the air, avoid inhaling hot smoke, and rush out as quickly as possible through the stairs or fire escape passage.

If there is no way to escape, you can choose a balcony or terrace to wait for rescue. In case of fire, it is often difficult to be discovered when calling for help. You can use a bamboo pole to hold up bright clothes (red is best) and shake it continuously, or use a flashlight or continuously throw soft objects such as clothes that are not likely to hurt people out of the window, or knock on basins, pots, bowls, etc. to attract attention.

What are some ways to reduce the occurrence of fire?

According to the Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, for indoor places with a large number of people, the decoration and furnishing materials must use non-combustible or flame-retardant materials that meet national standards.

Therefore, consumers are especially reminded that they must choose flame-retardant materials as much as possible during decoration to reduce the risk of fire from the source.
