(2) Smell
To determine if a board is environmentally friendly, the formaldehyde content must be above 9mg/100g, a standard considered harmless to the human body. A simple way to test this is to open the wardrobe doors and drawers and smell them. If there's a pungent odor, it indicates formaldehyde levels have exceeded the standard.
