Environmentally friendly panel furniture refers to furniture made from panels. This type of furniture looks like the original wood, and its processing procedures meet national standards. The amount of harmful substances released, especially formaldehyde, meets national standards.
So what is formaldehyde emission? Formaldehyde emission is a key indicator for modern home renovations. The standard for green building materials set by international environmental organizations is no more than 8mg/100g. The permissible formaldehyde emission limit for environmentally labeled artificial boards is 0.20mg/m³. my country's "Limits of Formaldehyde Emissions from Artificial Boards and Their Products for Interior Decoration and Renovation Materials" (GB18580-2017), which officially came into effect on May 1, 2018, has new regulations for formaldehyde emissions from board materials: the E2 level has been eliminated, retaining only the E1 level, with a formaldehyde emission limit of 0.124mg/m³. So what is the so-called E0 level in our society? The E0 environmental protection standard is the highest international health standard. Our national standards only include the E1 level, not the E0 level. Environmental data must be measured in a laboratory to obtain accurate data. So how can consumers feel confident when purchasing products?
First, be vigilant when purchasing panel furniture. Carefully check the product's labeling and certification. Avoid products with incomplete labeling or no certification. Be wary of counterfeit and shoddy products to fundamentally reduce formaldehyde emissions. Don't trust salespeople's claims of E0-rated furniture; most domestically produced furniture doesn't meet these standards. Secondly, while basic functionality is essential, minimize the number of pieces of furniture in your home to reduce formaldehyde emissions. Finally, after purchasing furniture, ensure it is well ventilated to accelerate formaldehyde release.
