How to choose better quality boards, just read this article!

There are a wide variety of board materials on the market, including particleboard, chipboard, coreboard, density fiberboard, and OSB. Just hearing the names can be overwhelming, and their uses and quality are often unclear. It's also often difficult to choose the right board material, or to determine which is most environmentally friendly. Today, I'll discuss some common misconceptions about board materials.

International environmental protection standards are higher, and imported brands are more environmentally friendly❌

Domestic brands have excellent environmental performance✔️

While some boards on the market may meet environmental standards, it's difficult to determine whether they still meet those standards after veneer application. However, the domestic brand Rabbit Baby offers a board that offers both base material and veneer, a formaldehyde-removing and antibacterial eco-friendly board.

This upgraded version of the Rabbit Baby brand boasts an ENF environmental rating, a formaldehyde emission level of ≤0.025mg/m³, and absorbs and removes formaldehyde. Therefore, the notion that "imported brands are more environmentally friendly" is a thing of the past.

Quality cannot be discussed without considering brand, grade, and craftsmanship, which is why it's important to buy from reputable manufacturers and brands. As long as it meets national standards, it's environmentally friendly. To determine which is more environmentally friendly, consult the board's test report. Many factors, including the type and amount of glue used during board production, as well as edge banding, veneer application, and perforation, all affect the formaldehyde content of the final product. Furthermore, in addition to artificial board furniture, flooring, curtains, carpets, wallpaper, and other products also emit formaldehyde. Therefore, not only should the base material be environmentally friendly, but the space within should also be environmentally friendly.

Some brands claim to use fir, but are actually using the relatively cheap hemlock. Some off-brands even use inferior fast-growing paulownia for splicing, resulting in poor flatness, large gaps, and weak nail holding. For example, similar to blockboard, furniture panels utilize high-quality base materials, with premium veneer or impregnated paper as the facing material, combined with homologous edge banding or specialized edge banding materials. This ensures board stability, nail holding strength, and flatness, providing a strong guarantee for the quality of the finished furniture. Therefore, in addition to the board type, the core material should also be considered.
