You need to be more cautious when choosing flame retardant boards, because many boards on the market claim to be flame retardant boards, or are semi-flame retardant, that is, only the outer surface of the board is sprayed with flame retardants, which greatly reduces the flame retardancy. Some do not even spray flame retardants, and are sold as ordinary multi-layer boards.
So how to identify true and false flame retardant panels?
The simplest method is to use the three steps of "look", "touch" and "burn"
1. "Look" Flame retardant boards are generally red. The color depth has nothing to do with the flame retardant effect. It is mainly distinguished from multi-layer boards and the manufacturer's inspection report.
2. "Touch" The purchasing method is similar to that of multi-layer boards. Make sure that the board has no deformation, worm holes, cracks, smooth surface, and no thorns.
3. "Burn" Use a blade to cut a small strip, burn it with a lighter, observe the extinguishing time, see if there is a hidden flame, and compare it with the ordinary board.
