There are currently four major mainstream environmental protection standard grades for panels:

European standard E-level, new national standard E-level, Japanese F-star, and US CARB level certification.

E2≤1.5mg/L

The higher the F star rating, the lower the formaldehyde emission. F☆☆☆☆ is the highest level in Japan's environmental protection standards.

• The US CARB certification is divided into three levels:

  P1, P2, NAF levels.

The highest grade is NAF, also known as formaldehyde-free exemption certification. The formaldehyde emission standard of NAF grade is 0.04ppm.

The four environmental standards use different testing methods and conditions, so comparisons cannot be made based solely on the data. However, research indicates that the Japanese F☆☆☆☆ formaldehyde emission limit of 0.3 mg/L is approximately equivalent to the European standard climate chamber test value of 0.04 mg/m³.
