In recent years, OSB boards have emerged in the domestic home decoration field
It gradually came into the eyes of the Chinese people
Its unique texture and superior performance lead the green trend
Why is OSB board developing so rapidly?
What are the advantages of OSB boards compared to ordinary domestic boards?
	Let’s take a look with the editor below!
What is OSB Board?
✔ OSB is a high-quality solid wood board made from logs through professional automated equipment through processes such as rotary cutting, drying, gluing, and hot pressing.
✔ OSB is made of formaldehyde-free PMDI glue. The number of structural layers is about twice that of ordinary plywood, the moisture content is 2-4%, and there is zero formaldehyde release.
✔OSB board is an environmentally friendly building decoration material. It has been widely used in construction, decoration, furniture, packaging and other fields in North America, Europe, Japan and other countries. It is an upgraded, updated and replacement product of plywood, blockboard and other boards.
The 360° layer-by-layer arrangement of OSB boards reduces the internal stress of the wood, giving it the following characteristics:
◆Stable structure, high bonding strength, good nail holding force, and excellent environmental performance;
◆The load-bearing and impact-resistant performance is 4 times that of blockboard;
◆Super strong nail holding force, moisture-proof and non-deformable;
◆No joints, no gaps, no cracks, and overall uniformity;
◆Extraordinary processability, original import, zero formaldehyde release;
	What are the advantages of OSB boards over traditional boards?
1. Superior performance and wide application
Compared with plywood, medium-density fiberboard and other types of boards, "OSB" boards have good stability, uniform material quality, and higher screw holding power. They can be used as structural materials and load-bearing components.
It is an upgraded, updated and replacement product of traditional plywood and other boards;
It can be mainly used in: wall panels, partition boards, furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, bathroom cabinets, floors, container boards and interior decoration.
	Most traditional boards have poor nail holding strength. If nails are driven into the gaps, they have basically no bearing capacity. During the subsequent processing, the appearance is very likely to change significantly. They are not suitable for load-bearing components and their scope of use is not as wide as that of OSB boards.
2. Extremely low formaldehyde emission
OSB is made of formaldehyde-free PMDI glue (wood itself contains trace formaldehyde, which can be ignored), with zero formaldehyde release, which is comparable to natural wood.
OSB is one of the fastest growing board materials in the world. It is accepted by more and more consumers precisely because the formaldehyde content of OSB board is equivalent to zero release.
Compared to OSB, traditional boards use adhesives high in formaldehyde during production, resulting in high formaldehyde emissions, which is why these boards have a pungent smell. Furthermore, many boards have a rough surface, so on-site carpentry often uses large amounts of glue or paint to treat the surface, further increasing the formaldehyde content.
3. High process requirements and stable structure
The manufacturing process of OSB board mainly involves drying, gluing, directionally paving and hot pressing the chips into a certain geometric shape. It is technically difficult and requires a relatively large investment in equipment.
The surface shavings of OSB boards are arranged vertically, and the core shavings are arranged horizontally. The criss-cross arrangement makes the internal structure more compact, and the earthquake resistance, impact resistance and bending strength meet very high requirements.
4. High cost performance
Compared with the same level of blockboard, multi-layer board and integrated wood, OSB board has a very high cost performance.
The improvement of living standards will inevitably be accompanied by higher demands.
Beauty is no longer enough to meet people's needs for decoration. More people hope to protect the health of their families.
Safety, environmental protection and zero formaldehyde release seem to be an inevitable requirement.
Using better building materials is not a monetary measure, but a true call from the heart.
Veeder Solid Wood Multilayer (OSB) Board Leads the Formaldehyde-Free "Core" Era
The Vedder solid wood multi-layer (OSB) board series products are another contribution of the Hong Kong Vedder Group to the Chinese wood industry. By utilizing abundant forest resources abroad, the Vedder Group has introduced healthy, formaldehyde-free and environmentally friendly OSB produced by mature foreign production processes and excellent automated equipment to China. It also uses advanced equipment and sophisticated technology to carry out secondary processing on it, broadening the application areas of OSB and making it widely used in wall panels, partition boards, furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, bathroom cabinets, flooring, container boards and interior decoration.
