What are the general specifications of the board? Different boards have different specifications.

Typically, boards are manufactured into flat, rectangular building materials of standard sizes. Boards are frequently used in home renovations, but what are their typical specifications? In reality, different board sizes vary. Boards can generally be categorized into the following eight types of specifications.

1. Density board

It is made from wood fiber or other plant fiber, with urea-formaldehyde resin or other suitable adhesive added. The general board size is 1220mm * 2440mm * 2mm ~ 30mm. If you have special requirements, you can customize it.

2. Core board

Core board, also known as blockboard, is made from two veneer sheets glued and pressed together. It's relatively inexpensive, but its flexural and compressive strengths are relatively low, though its transverse flexural and compressive strengths are higher. Board dimensions are 2440 mm by 1220 mm, with thicknesses of 3, 5, and 9 cm.

3. Creative board

Particleboard is divided into two categories: flat particleboard and extruded particleboard. It is a thin board made primarily from wood chips, with glue and additives added. Typical board sizes are 1220 mm by 2440 mm, with thicknesses ranging from 25 to 45 mm.

4. Melamine board

Melamine board is a decorative board made by soaking paper of different colors or textures in a melamine resin adhesive, drying it to a certain degree, applying it to the surface of medium-density fiberboard, particleboard, or cardboard, and finally pressing and heating it. The total specifications of this board are 2440 mm by 1220 mm.

5. Gypsum board

Gypsum board has heat insulation and sound absorption effects. The board specifications are 2400mm*1200mm*9.5mm-123000mm*1200mm*9.5mm-12240mm*1220mm*9.5mm-121800mm*1200mm*9.5mm.

6. Plywood

Plywood is made of three or more layers of 1 mm thick veneer or board hot pressed together, and is most commonly used for home decoration. There are six specifications, namely 3 mm, 5 mm, 9 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm and 18 mm.

7. Decorative panels

Decorative board is a kind of decorative board with single-sided decorative function. It is made of plywood as the base material and glued together. Its thickness is 3 mm.

8. Fireproof board

Fireproof panels are made from calcium and silica materials, mixed with a certain proportion of lightweight aggregate, fiber materials, chemical additives, and adhesives, and then autoclaved to form decorative panels. Typical thicknesses are 0.8mm, 1mm, and 1.2mm.
