What is an eco-board?

Ecological boards (paint-free boards) can be divided into two concepts: narrow and broad.

1. In a broad sense, eco-board is equivalent to melamine veneer. Its full name is melamine impregnated film paper veneer artificial board. It is a decorative board made by soaking paper with different colors or textures in eco-board resin adhesive, then drying it to a certain degree of solidification, and laying it on the surface of particleboard, moisture-proof board, medium-density fiberboard, plywood, blockboard or other hard fiberboard, and then hot pressing it.

2. In a narrow sense, eco-board refers only to melamine-finished panels whose base material is multi-layer solid wood (plywood) or blockboard (such as Malacca, fir, and paulownia). They are mainly used in furniture, cabinets, wardrobes, bathroom cabinets, and other fields.

PK | How to choose?

Particleboard and density fiberboard are composite boards made by pressing wood chips, sawdust, and various adhesives. As you can imagine, the amount of glue required to form the boards is considerable, resulting in poor environmental performance. Furthermore, the sawdust easily expands and deforms when exposed to moisture, resulting in poor nail holding power and poor physical properties.

What are the advantages of ecological boards?

Solid wood core

Malacca core-Selected logs imported from Indonesia, sourced from prime-age Malacca trees, are available with a minimum diameter of 30cm and a density of 350kg/m³, making them a first-class product. The board's surface quality, material, moisture content, and gluing strength are all top-notch. The resulting core exhibits the same high-quality properties as the original log, including high flatness, minimal deformation, and a premium, elegant texture.

Redwood core - Redwood core has the advantages of good nail holding force, strong flatness stability, not easy to deform, and the wood density is higher than Malacca, between 430-570kg/m³.

Strict quality inspection

Imported Malayan deck cores undergo animal and plant quarantine, customs, and environmental testing upon import, and are rated as Class A products. Upon arrival at the factory, they undergo rigorous testing to ensure the core thickness and moisture content meet required standards. Finished products are also subject to factory inspection in accordance with national standards to fully guarantee their quality.

Standard drying, 30-day curing

We have a foreign raw material procurement base, where we select the best material structure in Malacca, use a unique cutting method, an extra-large standard drying room and a unique foreign drying process, dry the logs at low temperature for up to 10 days, and strictly control the moisture content of the board core to ensure that the board will not deform or crack.

After the boards arrive at the factory, they undergo 36 production processes, including sorting, machine assembly, sanding, cold pressing, and hot pressing. With full monitoring and meticulous operation, the board thickness error is maintained within 0.2mm. The finished products are cured for 20 days before shipment to ensure a moisture content between 10% and 12%, effectively enhancing the board's structural stability.

Authoritative certification, E0 level environmental protection

We use independently developed non-aldehyde thermoplastic resin instead of glue, which has strong bonding strength and is a standard formaldehyde-free product. We have passed multiple authoritative certifications at home and abroad, such as Japan JAS certification and China Environmental Labeling Product Certification, so consumers can purchase with confidence.

Reliable natural finish inside

Focusing on the research and development of finishing technology, we innovatively developed high-definition home finishing paper at the end of December 2018. Made from 100% virgin pulp paper, it undergoes multiple printing processes using top-of-the-line equipment and undergoes multiple quality tests for flatness, color difference, and paper tensile strength. The board surface is wear-resistant and scratch-resistant, with a high-definition texture and transparency.
