What is OSB board
OSB board is a new type of high-strength load-bearing board made from wood chips of a certain geometric shape through drying, screening, gluing, directional paving and high-temperature hot pressing.
OSB, originally originating in Europe, is one of the fastest-growing board materials worldwide and is currently widely used in prefabricated buildings in developed countries such as North America, Europe, and Japan. According to statistics, between 1.3 million and 1.5 million housing units were started in the United States in 2018, of which over 83% were wood structures. OSB is used in approximately 95% of the US construction industry, demonstrating its popularity abroad.
Interior decoration, furniture manufacturing, house construction
Prefabricated buildings are still in their developmental stages in China, but they are attracting significant attention due to their rapid construction, ease of installation, and low production costs. The "Outline for the Modernization of the Construction Industry," released in 2016, outlined plans to promote energy-saving, green building materials and prefabricated construction, with prefabricated buildings expected to account for over 50% of the total construction volume by 2025. The government also explicitly stated in its 14th Five-Year Plan that it will accelerate the development of prefabricated buildings and promote green, low-carbon development.
On September 22, 2020, China's leader delivered an important speech, stating that China will increase its nationally determined contributions and adopt more forceful policies and measures to strive to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060. According to the "Research on Comprehensive Benefit Analysis Methods for Prefabricated Buildings," prefabricated buildings emit 472.23 kg/m² less carbon than traditional cast-in-place buildings, a 30%-40% reduction. Prefabricated buildings will help the country achieve carbon neutrality sooner rather than later. As a key component of prefabricated buildings, OSB boards are poised to become a new trend in the near future.
Since OSB has such a broad development prospect, today Zhoubao will introduce to you the Qiannianzhou solid wood sliced OSB board.
Imported pine wood
Solid wood sliced OSB boards are made of high-quality pine wood that is over 20 years old and grown in the area between 34° and 47° south latitude. Unlike other domestic brands that use poplar wood that is too soft and eucalyptus wood that is too hard and prone to cracking, imported pine wood has straight grain, medium texture, strong nail holding power, and is easy to process. The finished board has stable performance and guaranteed quality.
Safety and environmental protection
Solid wood sliced OSB boards are made of imported high-quality pine wood and cutting-edge black technology material MDI glue. The production process is formaldehyde-free, with double environmental protection guarantees and environmental protection levels reaching the corporate standard formaldehyde-free level, which is healthier and safer.
Strong physical properties
Solid wood sliced OSB boards utilize state-of-the-art German Parmann long-slicing equipment to process whole wood into long, slender, single-wood flakes 40-100mm long, 5-20mm wide, and 0.3-0.7mm thick. High-strength MDI glue is then applied to the boards using a crisscross, directional paving process, resulting in a high degree of internal bonding and excellent stability. Compared to blockboard with low impact resistance and conventional particleboard with poor nail holding power, OSB boards are more durable, have greater load-bearing capacity, and offer superior performance. Furthermore, MDI glue is not easily soluble in water, effectively providing waterproofing and moisture-proofing, and can even be used in the production of waterproof coatings. OSB boards made from this glue are suitable for use in humid environments such as kitchens and bathrooms.
High aesthetics
Solid wood sliced OSB board features uniform shavings and a smooth, clear surface. The geometric texture of the pressed wood slices is visible, layer by layer, creating a rich, varied, and naturally artistic aesthetic. The wood is flexible and smooth to the touch, while the surface of OSB board is debris-free and aesthetically pleasing, offering a visual experience.
