[Abstract] The present invention discloses a microwave vacuum drying method for round bamboo, which comprises the following steps: (1) sample collection; (2) sample processing; (3) sample sorting; (4) preparation stage; (5) vacuuming, maintaining the vacuum degree at 0.6-0.9 MPa; (6) heating stage: starting the microwave system to heat the sample in the cavity at a heating rate of 1-5°C/min to 80-90°C; (7) heat preservation stage: maintaining the temperature and vacuum degree in the microwave cavity constant for 1-3 hours; (8) cooling stage; (9) vacuum reduction stage. The method of the present invention can reach the boiling point of water at a relatively low temperature, thus avoiding the phenomenon of drying and sticking caused by excessively high temperature in conventional drying. It saves energy and does not cause cracking or warping. Compared with traditional kiln drying and air drying methods, the method of the present invention has almost no color change before and after drying, and no carbonization phenomenon occurs.
