[Abstract] The present invention discloses a method for preparing formaldehyde-free flame-retardant composite artificial board, comprising the following steps: first, preparing a water-resistant adhesive; dicing and crushing raw pomelo peel; sun-drying and crushing crop straw; mixing pomelo peel particles, crop straw particles, phenolic resin powder, water-resistant adhesive, and perlite powder; paving the mixture in a mold; hot pressing at 140-150°C and 3-6 MPa for 5-11 minutes; and releasing the pressure; then hot pressing at 170-180°C and 7-9 MPa for 8-13 minutes, followed by cooling and pressure relief to obtain an artificial board blank; then soaking the artificial board blank in a tea polyphenol aqueous solution, ultrasonically treating the blank at normal pressure, removing the blank and aging it; and finally hot pressing at 185-200°C and 9-10 MPa for 2-5 minutes, followed by pressure relief and cooling to obtain the composite artificial board. The composite artificial board produced by the present invention has high compressive strength, good impact resistance, no free formaldehyde release, good flame retardancy, and low production cost.
