There are many types of home decoration wood, and generally it is necessary to determine which space to use it according to the characteristics of the wood.

01.Interior decoration materials include solid wood boards, plywood, decorative panels, blockboard, particleboard, density board, fireproof board, finger-jointed boards, straight-jointed boards, etc. used in homes and offices; they also include raw materials for the production of wooden keels for support, fixing or shaping.

Solid wood boards are made from intact wood. These boards are durable, have natural grain, and are an excellent choice for home renovations. However, due to their high cost and demanding construction process, they are not widely used in home renovations. Solid wood boards are generally categorized by board name, with no standardized specifications.

2. Plywood, also known as thin core board in the industry, is made by hot-pressing three or more layers of one-millimeter-thick veneer or sheet material glued together. It is currently the most commonly used material for handmade furniture. Plywood is generally available in six sizes: 3cm, 5cm, 9cm, 12cm, 15cm, and 18cm (1cm is 1mm).

3. Decorative panels, commonly known as panels, are made by precisely planing solid wood into thin veneers about 0.2mm thick. Using plywood as a base material, these panels are made through a gluing process to create a single-sided decorative panel. This is a special form of plywood, with a thickness of 3mm.

02. The interior decoration materials of villas or public buildings also include solid wood staircase components (columns, steps, facings, skirtings, etc.), which are often made of oak, hemlock, and ash.

03. Special interior decoration materials also use some special raw materials and wood. For example, when decorating a room in the Japanese Tatami style, you may use Japanese screens and sliding doors made of Canadian Sterk spruce.
