1. Definition of integrated board
Glulam, also known as non-structural glulam, is a non-load-bearing material made by gluing together sheets and small squares with roughly parallel fibers in length, width, and thickness. It is primarily used in furniture production, decoration, and other non-load-bearing applications.
2. Specifications and dimensions of integrated boards
The main dimensions are (width × length)
Commonly used: 1220mm×2440mm
According to customer needs, the following sizes can be produced: 915mm×1830mm, 915mm×2135mm, 1220mm×1830mm, 220mm×2440mm
Thickness: 12mm-18mm
3. Product quality grade
Appearance quality is divided into two grades: superior and first-class, with superior quality being better than first-class quality.
4. Physical and chemical properties
Moisture content: should be between 8.0% and 15.0%;
Dip-peeling: When finger-jointing non-structural laminated materials, the average peeling rate should be less than 10%. When two specimens are used, each specimen should meet the above requirements, and the average peeling rate is the average of the peeling rates of the two specimens; when only one specimen is used, the peeling rate of the specimen is the average peeling rate;
Surface crack resistance: For non-structural veneer laminated materials, there are no cracks on the surface of the specimens;
Formaldehyde emission:
5. Selection method of integrated board
1. Check the board surface: high-quality integrated board, clear wood grain, beautiful texture, natural texture. The board surface is flat and smooth, without obvious grouting, sanding, pressure, obvious color difference, and stains;
2. Check the joints between the slats to see if there is any debonding, peeling, excessive cracks, wormholes, skin inclusions, resin channels, or decay.
3. Check the thickness: Is it full size? Are the thicknesses at both ends and in the middle consistent?
6. Packaging, transportation and storage
Packaging: Glulam products are classified by grade, type, and specification. If necessary, they are bundled and packaged according to tree species and purpose with waterproof materials.
Transportation: Protect from rain and moisture during transportation, and prevent damage and contamination during loading and unloading.
Storage: When storing the product, reasonable gaps should be kept between the glulams, and they should be separated by flat wooden pads and stacked neatly to prevent the glulams from twisting and deforming, and to prevent moisture, sun, fire, and deformation.
7. Precautions for using integrated boards
During renovation, integrated boards cannot be used as structural materials, nor can they be used to make suspended doors or cabinet doors. They cannot be used for large-scale structural decoration exceeding 2 meters in length. If they must be used for large areas, they must be spliced together from several smaller integrated boards to minimize deformation.
