Adding a "moisture-proof factor" or "moisture-proof agent" to particleboard creates what's commonly referred to as moisture-proof particleboard. This barrier is due to particleboard's inherent moisture resistance, resulting in a low expansion coefficient after absorbing water. This makes it commonly used in cabinets and bathroom cabinets. However, in reality, it's often used to mask impurities in low-quality particleboard. Adding a green dye creates what's commonly marketed as green-based particleboard, a misleading term used by many manufacturers to portray the product as environmentally friendly. This claim is unscientific. Most top-tier particleboard brands, both domestically and internationally, are based on a natural-colored base.
advantage:
A. Good sound absorption and sound insulation performance; particleboard is heat-insulating and sound-absorbing
B. The interior is a granular structure with a cross-staggered structure. The performance of each direction is basically the same and the structure is relatively uniform, so the nail holding force is good and the lateral bearing capacity is good.
C. It has strong moisture-proof performance and a small expansion coefficient after absorbing water. It is widely used as raw materials for cabinet products such as cabinets and bathroom cabinets in humid environments.
D. The particleboard has a smooth surface, realistic texture, uniform bulk density, small thickness error, pollution resistance, aging resistance, beautiful appearance, and can be painted and various veneers;
F. During the production process of particleboard, the amount of glue used is small and the environmental protection factor is relatively high.
shortcoming:
A. The internal structure is granular and not easy to mill;
B. It is easy to cause tooth problems when cutting the board, so some processes have high requirements on processing equipment; it is not suitable for on-site production.
