Some people may ask, is fir board better or ecological board better?
Actually, asking this question is a mistake, because the base material of ecological boards includes fir core boards (what we often call fir core boards are actually fir core wood panels). Therefore, the two are inclusive and cannot be compared. You see, if you ask this question, isn't it a bit revealing? The merchant can tell whether you are knowledgeable or not just by listening to you. If the merchant labels you as "uninformed", you may be in for a pitfall! So, today, the editor will share with you the classification of boards. (Even if you choose custom home furnishings, you still need to understand a little bit about the base material to take the initiative!)
Basic board
The basic boards I usually talk about include wood board, plywood, core board, particle board, chipboard, and integrated board. Each board has different structures, processes, and glue usage, and each has its own advantages. It can only be said that some boards are particularly strong in certain aspects, while others have problems in certain aspects. Next, I will briefly introduce these types of boards.
Woodworking board: A type of man-made board made of wood strips of equal thickness laid along the grain to form a core, with veneer or plywood glued to the sides. (Like a hamburger neatly topped with hot dogs)
Plywood: A multi-layered material consisting of veneer sheets, usually glued together with the grain of adjacent sheets roughly perpendicular to each other. (Like the distinct layers of a cake)
Shunxin board: Made from high-quality natural poplar wood from abroad, it is processed into shavings using specialized equipment and then processed through processes such as de-oiling, drying, gluing, directional paving, and hot pressing. (Just like the shaqima board where each particle is clearly visible)
Particle board: Currently, most custom home furnishings use solid wood particle board. It is made by cutting solid wood particles into regular lengths using specialized equipment. After drying and gluing, the surface and core flakes are laid in a crisscross pattern using specialized equipment, and then hot-pressed into shape. (Just like high-quality compressed biscuits)
Particleboard: It is a kind of man-made board made by cutting various branches, small-diameter wood, fast-growing wood, sawdust, etc. into pieces of certain specifications, drying them, mixing them with glue, hardener, waterproofing agent, etc., and pressing them under a certain temperature and pressure. (Just like ordinary compressed biscuits)
Integrated board: It is a wooden structural board with a certain size and shape made by connecting or widening solid wood strips with parallel wood grain in length or width and gluing them together. (It is like a twisted knot.)
Facing panels
Literally, it means "veneer." Yes, it's simply applying a finishing material to the base board (currently, there are two types of veneer: veneer paper and veneer). Currently, the most popular veneer on the market is eco-friendly board, as it significantly simplifies the entire renovation process. There's no need for painting, waiting, or worrying about secondary pollution. These advantages have naturally made it a favorite among consumers.
