Product performance description
Continuous veneer - technological wood edge banding is mainly made of technological wood slices, cut according to different widths and thicknesses, and is generally packaged and supplied in rolls.
Our engineered wood edge banding is primarily constructed from 0.6mm-thick engineered wood slices layered with imported non-woven fabric. This layering is achieved using a combination of hot-melt adhesive and PVAC adhesive, which contain no harmful ingredients and are therefore harmless to health and the environment. The formaldehyde content of Weide Group's engineered wood edge banding has been tested by nationally recognized organizations and is ≤1.5mg/L.
The asymmetrical finger-jointing process, using a full suite of European-imported equipment and advanced technology combined with high-quality engineered wood slices, makes the finger-joints difficult to detect. The primer or topcoat applied later in the painting process will not highlight the finger-joints. This is a key feature of the engineered wood edge banding produced by the Weide Group.
The use of PVAC glue and hot-melt adhesive makes this process produce edgebanding with greater toughness. Its surface quality is high, making it easier to process than solid wood edgebanding. Solid wood edgebanding, on the other hand, cannot be supplied in rolls, suffers from inconsistent quality, and is complex to use. Processing speed for engineered wood edgebanding is significantly faster than for solid wood edgebanding. It can process rolls up to 0.6mm thick engineered wood edgebanding. Color variations are controlled by an extended quality control process at the factory, ensuring that each batch is identical or closely matches the standard sample.
Product storage and management
Since high-tech wood edge banding is also wood, its storage method should be similar to that of conventional wood products, such as finished boards, sawn timber, solid wood doors, etc. Attention should be paid to the storage area to prevent moisture and mildew.

The specifications of technological wood edge banding are usually 0.4~0.9MM thick, supplied in rolls of 120M in length, and 100~200MM in width.
